Mildred L. Peacock

Mildred L. Peacock, 95 was called into Eternal Life by our good Lord on January 31, 2010.  Born in Mechanicville, Millie was a life long resident of Stillwater and an active member of the community, providing support for her neighbors at the Rescue Squad and at the Stillwater United Church.  Millie was recognized by special proclamation on June 1, 2002 by the Stillwater Family Day Committee as Citizen of the Year for her kindness, caring and dedication to her family and extended community family.

Millie is the beloved mother of three surviving children, James Peacock (Kathy) of Stillwater, Maxine Peacock of Albany and Christy Peacock (John Murphy) of Stillwater. She was the grandmother of William Peacock, Jay Peacock and Katelynn Murphy.  Millie also had four great grand children.

The family would like to thank the community and especially the members of the Stillwater Rescue Squad for permitting us to support Millie while living at her home during this period of transition.

At her request, there will be no calling hours and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions  in Millie’s memory may be made to the Stillwater Ambulance Fund, Inc,  P.O. Box 584, Stillwater, New York 12170.

The King Family would like to offer our condolences to the Peacock clan.  The loss of a matriarch is always a difficult thing to bear, but we hope that the fond Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother memories will fill you with a feeling of having been blessed by her enduring presence in your lives.

Max, and family,

My heart goes out to you in this period of transition.  Having lost a Mom also, I know you will be going through periods of adjustment -- what helped me was knowing she lived life on Her (my nother's) terms and went the way she wanted to go.

To all the Peacock Clan - Millie was VERY special to me. For years she joined the group I loving called "THE LADIES". She made our forays special with her wit and prospectives on life etc. I consider the times with those ladies a true gift. She will be remembered for LOADS of fun, helpful OCCASIONS and a host of other things- most of all her love of life and always sharing and caring. My heart goes heart to you. She is surely having a long awaited reunion now.  Net
